Ghyllside Eco-club meet weekly to discuss environmental issues and create achievable goals for our school and school community to be kinder and help to protect our planet.

We have/do:

• Delivered whole school assemblies on a variety of different topics
• Recycle all our school pens
• Encouraged clothes recycling by having a jumble stall at the summer fair.
• Planted trees in the school field
• Seeded the banking in the playground
• Regularly litter pick in the school grounds

Georgina, the Schools project officer from CDEC came to talk to eco-club about climate change. The children enjoyed the activities and shared some of their thought about climate change and how we can help our environment.
